McCarville trio sang "I Found Happiness". Bro. Jeff Downey welcomed everyone and made announcements. Bro. Donald Fittin led songs. Bro. Rodney Duff prayed. Cindy Kennedy and Roxanne Bartlett sang "Steal Away", Bro. Rodney Duff read the scripture reading from Acts 3:1-10. Josh Hopkins sang "At the Cross"

,Bro. Jeff Downey began his sermon in prayer. His sermon was taken from Acts 3:19— “Times of Refreshing”. Peter and John passed by the lame man at the gate “Beautiful” near the temple. He was begging for alms. Peter told him he had none, but “Such as I have, give I unto thee”. The lame man was healed. Peter told him “In the name of Jesus, rise up and walk”. Then, the lame man was leaping and praising the Lord. We must remember even though we have problems, God will take care of us.  God will take care of us whether in a job situation or at home. God will work. Hebrews 11:6 tells us that God is a rewarder of them that diligently seek Him. We must come expecting to receive from God. God may not answer as we expect, but whatever the answer, it will be for our best. Sometimes what God’s will for us is not our choice. God has all power and all authority--Matthew 28:18. Give God the glory due to Him—I Corinthians 10:31. May God help us acknowledge the One who can meet every need. The closing song was “Rise and Be Healed”. Bro. Ronnie Rish closed in prayer as the congregation also went to prayer.

The Evening service opened with a Bluegrass gospel ensemble singing and playing “He Will Set Your Fields on Fire/When He Reached down His Hand for Me”. Bro. Jeff Downey led songs and welcomed everyone. He made announcements. Testimonies were given by: Donald Fittin, Matthew McCarville, Carolyn McCall, Josh Hopkins, and Teresa Bowers. Shannon McCarville sang “Jesus Loves Me, This I Know”

Bro. Ronnie Rish’s sermon was taken from II Thessalonians 2:1-7—Mystery of Iniquity and I Timothy 3:16—m Mystery of Godliness. Mystery—means “A truth only revealed by God”. Many are shaken and fearful of the future. They are afraid of tomorrow. Many are being deceived. There are 3 ways to be deceived: (1) By the devil (2) By people and (3) By ourselves. Read the Bible and obey it.  There is no substitute for doing the will of God. God asks of us obedience. The time of iniquity has been since the Garden of Eden. In Zechariah 5:5, we are told of an ephah, and the woman sitting in the midst of it. This was a symbol of the wickedness happening at this time.  During the times in the Bible when people worshipped idols, acts of illicit sex were committed in the plains of Shinar in Babylon and during King Nebuchadnezzar’s reign.  In Matthew 24:12, we are told, “And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold”. This means “no law”. Are we seeing this today? The signs of the times are being fulfilled before our eyes. It is now in the world, but let us take courage in the “Mystery of Godliness”. It is time to rejoice. In I Timothy 3:16, we read these 6 truths about God: (1) God was manifest in the flesh (2) Justified in the Spirit (3) Seen of angels (4) Preached unto the Gentiles (5) Believed on in the world and (6) Received up into glory. These facts about God guarantees our resurrection if we are saved. Jesus will return. Let us not be troubled, but rejoice to know our reward is in Heaven with Jesus. The closing song was “I’ll Be with Thee”. Bro. Rodney Duff closed in prayer as the congregation also went to prayer.
