The Evening service opened with prayer for previous prayer requests. Makala Worthington and Matthew McCarville sang “At Calvary”. Bro. Donald Fittin led songs.  Bro. Jeff Downey led in prayer.  Melissa Downey read the testimony of William Paulsen.  Testimonies were given by: Bonnie Duff, Matthew McCarville, and Ronnie Rish. Vickie Ledford sang “He Touched Me/Learning to Lean”.

Bro. Rodney Duff’s sermon was taken from Matthew 28:16-20—  “Lo, I am with thee”. This was Jesus’ promise to us. Lo means “listen, or take heed”. In Matthew 1:22-23, Emmanuel means “God with us”.  Also, in Matthew 18:19, Jesus promised to be in our midst. We see Jesus’ promise to be with us all through the book of Matthew. In Daniel 3:19, we read how the wicked king, Nebuchadnezzar, had the 3 Hebrew children thrown in the burning, fiery furnace, but we read further on how Jesus was with them in the fire. They were bound, but Jesus was on the scene and set them free. All 4 were walking around in the fire. We read in John 6:16-20 how Jesus walked on the water. The disciples saw Him and were afraid, but Jesus said, “It is I; be not afraid”. Are you in a storm or having difficulties in life? God is with you. Be not afraid. In Exodus 3:13 and 6:6, God told Moses, “I AM THAT I AM’. There are 7 “I AMs” in the New Testament: (1) “I AM the Bread of Life (2) “I AM” the Light of the World (3) “I AM” the Door (4) “I AM” the Good Shepherd (5) “I AM” the Resurrection and (6) the Life (7) “I AM” the True Vine.  Jesus. God, is with us always. He supplies all our needs. Jesus said “I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end—Revelation 1:8. He tells us to “Fear not”. He has the keys to death, hell, and the grave. May we remember, He is with us. The closing song was “Tis so Sweet to Trust in Jesus”. Bro. Donald Fittin prayed as the congregation went to prayer.
